John W. Smith is an amazingly talented knife maker, a Member of the Knifemakers Guild and a member of the prestigious AKI (Art Knife Invitational) group. John’s pieces are sole authorship. These three knives all feature John's Sunburst Mosaic inlay, hidden screw construction, forged and blued damascus, inlayed gold wire, carved 18k gold thumb-studs with a diamond insets, back-straps are gold engraved and handfiled filed. The filed and gold anodized titanium liners set off the blued damascus. John matches the pearl inlays to reflect and highlight colors from all angles. Fine gold wire separates the presentation black-lip and mother-of-pearl segments.
